Tye Beasley is the Commander, Support Forces Antarctica, United States Transportation Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. He is responsible for all military logistical support provided to the National Science Foundation in Antarctica in support of the United States Antarctic Program. Colonel Beasley will remain based at Scott Air Force Base and will deploy to Christchurch, New Zealand, and McMurdo Station, Antarctica, in support of Operation Deep Freeze during the austral summer seasons. The colonel has held a variety of positions at the wing and headquarters level. He has commanded three transportation squadrons as well as one detachment, and was the Executive Officer, for the Air Force Director of Transportation at the Pentagon.
