Two members of the ground crew prepare to lay out markers indicating a safe path away from the propellers as a recently-landed LC-130 cargo plane idles on the runway at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station. The cargo planes deliver nearly all the cargo and personnel to and from the station during its short summer season.
